About this position
As a technical draughtsman, you play an important role in the design and development process of our industrial installations. You will translate technical ideas and project requirements into clear, actionable plans that our production and installation teams use directly. You will work on a variety of projects such as ventilation systems, water treatment installations, powder booths and industrial ovens.
The role of technical draughtsman can be divided into several parts:
1) Design & modeling
- You draw up complete technical plans: assemblies, schematics, detailed plans and bills of materials for sheet metal, constructions, pipes and mechanical parts, mainly in SolidWorks.
- You build detailed 3D models of parts and complex assemblies, with an eye for technical feasibility and cost optimization.
2) Technical Support
- You will help analyse the technical specifications and work out suitable design proposals, taking into account production and installation possibilities.
- You ensure the correct follow-up, adjustment and archiving of technical plans.
3) Collaboration & continuous improvement
- You will work closely with internal teams such as the design office and production to ensure quality and deadlines.
- You actively contribute to improving drawing and design methods through your open mindset and involvement.
- You can easily get started with programs like Solid Works. Knowledge of other CAD systems is a plus.
- You have a technical diploma (minimum bachelor's degree) in mechanics, construction or industrial drawing.
- You have insight into materials, production techniques (such as sheet metal operation and pipelines) and industrial assemblies. Knowledge of ventilation or thermal equipment is a plus.
- Personal qualities: You are precise and structured
- You think along to optimize designs for production
- You are eager to learn, have an open mind and enjoy working with a team.
- Languages: you are fluent in Dutch and French. Knowledge of technical English is an asset.
